...re your last paragraph - reminded me of something i recently talked about with my best friend... (we broke up amicably from a long-term relationship not that long ago, so it's been .. hard/interesting/painful/a relief): ultimately, for women, we tend to settle for the guy who loves us the most, rather than the one we love the most. (obviously ideally they would be the same person! ...but yeah...if not? i think i speak for half the population here. )
